At Scorpion Bay Hotel, we believe in giving back to the community that makes this place so special. Through our partnership with Barbers for Baja and the support of our guests and donors, our goal is to consistently identify and meet the medical and sanitary needs of San Juanico and its surrounding areas.
 

Last year, Barbers for Baja, alongside another medical nonprofit, reached a major milestone by purchasing a permanent medical facility in San Juanico. Since then, the building has allowed us to provide ongoing monthly clinics, services, and follow-up care for the community. Beginning in 2027, Barbers for Baja will take the next step by staffing the clinic with a full-time nurse to provide follow-up care and consultations between our visiting medical teams.
 

With each fundraiser, we work to ensure that vital services—like health screenings, dental care, eye exams, physical therapy, and hygiene support—are available to families who need them most. Our team of volunteers coordinates directly with community members to deliver essential supplies, professional care, and meaningful connection, all made possible through efficient logistics and heartfelt collaboration.

This September, your support will help us continue expanding these efforts, including our annual medical and dental clinic, where we aim to serve over 1,000 people across San Juanico and neighboring communities. Free services include cancer screenings, dental and vision care, general medical attention, physical therapy, and haircuts offered by our volunteer crew.
